I don’t like pulling my family into the website but I am married and have three sons. They are decent boys and I am very proud of them all. Stephen could do with smiling a bit more often, however…

Would love to winter in Spain. Not the costas - to travel and to read and study. The language is so colourful and the place is possibly my spiritual home. Summer can be a bit hot. Then I want to visit the costa! Have spent a bit of time in Granada and Vitoria, the Basque capital. Very fine city but slightly small considering it’s capital status. It was very close to some fantastic scenery and not far north of the Rioja region. I admit that I have a love of the strong, red wines!

My biggest regret in life? Adding my name to Friends Reunited and now unable to find a way to take it off.

Ok, my biggest regret is actually that I never recorded the outpourings of thoughts and opinions I found so easy when I was young, simply because I thought I was just foolish and insignificant. When I grew up and realised the world was full of even more vacuous people but they just made a lot more noise it came as a huge disappointment. Soul searching over
